The Qortz service
- Qortz provides video interview, video profile, recruiter invite, AI feedback, resume-context, sharing, and interview presentation tools for job seekers, recruiters, candidates, and hiring stakeholders.
- Qortz is not an employer, recruiting agency, background-check company, legal advisor, or employment decision maker.

Eligibility and accounts
- You must be old enough to legally use online services in your location and able to enter a binding agreement.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of account information, profile details, recruiter company details, candidate invite data, and payment information you provide.
- You are responsible for activity under your account, protecting your devices, managing share links, and promptly notifying Qortz about unauthorized access.
- Qortz may suspend or terminate access if we believe an account is used for fraud, abuse, illegal activity, non-consensual content, or violations of these terms.
Your content and permissions
- You keep ownership of resumes, interview videos, answer clips, transcripts, feedback outputs, written context, candidate submissions, and other content you upload or create.
- You grant Qortz a limited license to host, store, upload, transcribe, process, enhance, analyze, display, share, and deliver your content only as needed to provide and improve the service, follow your sharing choices, protect the service, and comply with law.
- By recording or uploading video or audio, you confirm you have the rights and consent needed to submit your likeness, voice, resume, and related content to Qortz.
- You must not upload content that is unlawful, discriminatory, harassing, defamatory, infringing, deceptive, malicious, non-consensual, or violates another person's privacy or rights.
AI feedback and limitations
- Qortz may use AI providers to transcribe answers, summarize interviews, and generate coaching, improved answers, recruiter-safe summaries, or other feedback.
- AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate, biased, subjective, or unsuitable for your situation. You are responsible for reviewing it before relying on or sharing it.
- Qortz does not guarantee interviews, job offers, hiring outcomes, candidate quality, recruiter interest, LinkedIn reach, or business results.
- Recruiters and employers should not use Qortz AI feedback as the sole basis for hiring decisions.
Recruiters, candidates, and hiring compliance
- Recruiters are responsible for complying with employment, equality, anti-discrimination, privacy, data protection, candidate-consent, and recordkeeping laws.
- Recruiters must not use Qortz to discriminate unlawfully, collect unnecessary sensitive information, misrepresent job opportunities, or pressure candidates into sharing content beyond the intended hiring process.
- Invited candidates understand that the recruiter who sent the invite and authorized stakeholders may view submitted videos, transcripts, resume details, progress, and related interview metadata.
- Candidates should only submit information they are comfortable sharing with the inviting recruiter and related hiring stakeholders.
Credits, payments, and refunds
- Qortz may sell individual credits, recruiter credits, interview packages, Premium Polish, or related paid features. Credits have no cash value and are not a bank account, stored-value card, or currency.
- Stripe or another payment processor handles payment information. Qortz does not store full card numbers.
- Credit purchases, reservations, expirations, refunds, and releases are governed by the in-product checkout terms and refund policy shown at purchase. Business/legal placeholder: finalize refund rules before launch.
- Qortz may change prices, package names, included features, or credit requirements prospectively. Changes will not reduce credits already granted except as allowed by these terms or required to address fraud, abuse, or chargebacks.
Sharing, LinkedIn, and third-party services
- You are responsible for who receives shared interview links. Anyone with a valid share link may be able to view the shared interview until it expires or is revoked.
- If you connect LinkedIn, Qortz may help generate LinkedIn-ready copy or publish content only after you approve the content and authorize the required LinkedIn permission.
- Qortz cannot control LinkedIn profile settings, OpenToWork status, profile banners, profile frames, feed ranking, recruiter visibility, post reach, or third-party reactions to your content.
- Your use of Google, LinkedIn, Stripe, OpenAI, Cloudinary, Resend, and other third-party services is also subject to those services' terms and privacy policies.
Prohibited uses
- Do not use Qortz to harass, discriminate, impersonate, deceive, scrape, spam, send malware, violate privacy, violate hiring laws, or infringe intellectual property rights.
- Do not attempt to bypass credit limits, payment flows, reservations, rate limits, authentication, authorization, share-link controls, or security protections.
- Do not upload another person's resume, voice, image, or video without permission.
- Do not use Qortz to make automated hiring decisions without appropriate human review and legal compliance.
Qortz intellectual property
- Qortz owns the service, software, workflows, designs, branding, logos, documentation, and other materials we provide, except for user content and third-party materials.
- You may not copy, reverse engineer, resell, sublicense, or exploit Qortz except as allowed by these terms or with written permission.
- Feedback you provide about Qortz may be used by Qortz without restriction or compensation, as long as we do not disclose your confidential personal content in doing so.
Disclaimers, liability, and indemnity
- Qortz is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not promise uninterrupted access, error-free AI output, perfect video processing, or specific career or hiring results.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, Qortz disclaims implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, Qortz will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, lost data, or reputational harm.
- You agree to indemnify Qortz from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising from your content, your use of the service, your hiring decisions, your shared links, your LinkedIn posts, or your violation of these terms or law.
Changes, governing law, and contact
- We may update these terms as Qortz evolves. The updated version will be posted here with a new last-updated date.
